About the Department
Department of Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry is one of the pioneer department rights from the inception of the science faculty in establishment by the Marathwada Shikshan Prasarak Mandal’s Shri Shivaji College, Parbhani in 1961.
Department have well equipped and instrumentation five laboratories, one main store room, one environmental laboratory and separate two ICT classrooms. It offers programs such as B. Sc. Chemistry and B. Sc. Analytical Chemistry started since 1989. M. Sc. and Ph. D. degrees programs. Department of chemistry and Analytical Chemistry is the prime department of college with nearly 615 students in UG, PG and Ph.D. courses. Department has introduced remedial coaching for UG students also started coaching for NET/SET/GATE/JAM examination for UG and PG students. Department has significant impact in various area of research work and teaching fields.
Department has strong interaction and MoUs with various industries and Government Educational Institutes like Center for Skilling and Technical Support (CSTS) Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, SHODH Institutes Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and LR Pharma Parbhani. Research laboratory of the department is recognized for Ph.D. research center by SRTMU, Nanded and has three recognized research guides of our department as well as other colleges two research supervisor working at our department.
Department produced five research students awarded Ph.D. degree at our research center and three are working leading to Ph.D. degree. Department has published National and International status with 239 publications so far. Our faculty members also published two patents, eight text books for UG and chapter in books three. Significant academic and research profile with good citations index and excellent VIDWAN id score.
Department had organize nine National Workshops, Seminars and Conferences also organized five regional workshops. The department holds glorious track records include university Gold Medalists forty one, NET/SET sixteen JAM five students. Department has excellent results tradition of UG and PG students.
